Egroupware needs to know the name of the virtual domain, otherwise it can't login on the IMAP server.

At first gaze, there are two solutions for this:

  • Simpler one: Have a "Select" with all virtual mail domains in a eGroupware model to allow select only one.
  • Desirable: Support for several eGroupware domains and then associate each eGroupware domain with a virtual mail domain?

And we have another problem:

As mail accounts doesn't have to have the same name of its user account... what if they are different? we have login problems. Maybe the easiest solution is to always create an alias for the user with its username?

It seems that there is a problem with mail in sha1-passwords branch:

It hangs when sending "mail from: foo@bar"

/var/log/mail.err postfix/trivial-rewrite[5833]: fatal: ldap:valiases(0,lock|fold_fix): table lookup problem

The above problem is solved.

Now the only issue with mail integration is the lack of correspondence between user account name and mail account name.
