Upgrade to 1.5.10 did not finish - Missing action parameter

Reported by: Oceanwatcher Owned by: jacalvo@…
Milestone: Component: installer
Severity: blocker Keywords: upgrade
Cc: sub@…

Description

I started an upgrade in the GUI to the latest version. Half through, I had to quit Firefox to restart my laptop, but as far as I know, this should not change anything on the server?

Server: IBM Thinkpad A30P (P3, 1.2 GHz), 512MB RAM

Ubuntu Server 10.04 installed from ISO, then kept upgraded regularly. eBox 1.5 installed from PPA and upgraded regularly. This is the first one that has had problems.

When logging on to the GUI, I get the error message, but I am not able to get the dashboard up.

The server is a standalone server. Connected through the rest of the network via the switch. No firewall active (the whole network is behind a router).

PHP, MySQL, suphp, PhpMyAdmin? and AptCacher?-ng all installed.

Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred.

comment:1 Changed 3 years ago by Oceanwatcher

  • priority changed from normal to highest
  • Component changed from base to installer
  • Summary changed from Upgrade to 1.5.1 did not finish - Missing action parameter to Upgrade to 1.5.10 did not finish - Missing action parameter

Changed to correct version number - upgrading from 1.5.9 to 1.5.10

Also, IRC Quasselcore is running on the server.

Ran sudo apt-get update and upgrade via SSH.

Linux kernel and some ebox specific things were upgraded.

Rebooted server.

DHCP, Samba and IRC quasselcore failed to load. But a bit further down, it said dhcpd3 started.

Tried a new reboot with the same result.

Tried running sudo apt-get update, but got a "temporary DNS problem"

I was able to log in to the GUI and got a message that some things needed to get saved.

Got an error message there:

Some modules reported error when saving changes . More information on the logs in /var/log/ebox/

Can't call method "valueByName" on an undefined value

What logs would you like to have in addition to the one I already uploaded?
