Quota errors when enabling File Sharing

Description

I have a fresh install of Lucid Lynx 32bit (10.04) with Ext4 file system, I then added the ebox repository and installed ebox 1.5. Then ran Update Manager to update all packages on the system.

Everything seemed to go smoothly.

I then progressively turned modules on, starting with DHCP, DNS and Firewall. Next thing I wanted to do was set up File Sharing. When I try to enable to module and apply changes I get the following.

Failed to enable: root command /usr/shareebox-samba/ebox-samba-enable failed. Error output:

Hi,

I cannot reproduce this failure, what is your filesystems configuration? Do you have /var in a different partition?

Your partitions with shares should have usrquota and grpquota options.

Regards.

  • Status changed from assigned to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed

(In [18865]) Make sure that ebox-samba-enable doesn't fail if the file system does not support quotas
