ebox-printers-enable not run after reinstall

Description

Situation:

  • ebox-printers was installed and is removed
  • samba is removed
  • ebox-printers is installed again

Problem:

  • the ebox-printers-enable script will not be run since ebox-printers was already configured
  • /var/spool/samba has wrong owner:group[[BR]]
  • /var/lib/samba/printers has wrong group and permissions

Symptoms:

  • printer drivers can not be installed from Windows clients

We'll take a look on that, meanwhile, have you tried to uninstall it with apt-get purge?

Yes, I routinely purge the uninstalls. The culprit seems to be the residual

EBOX_PATH/conf/configured/printers

file.

This is not a bug, it's the normal behavior, you can workaround it by executing:

/usr/share/ebox/ebox-unconfigure-module printers
