the English text
"To log in an user and password is asked, ..."
"To log in, a user name and password is asked, ..."
"an" should be "a" because, although it precedes an English word that starts with a vowel, the word is pronounced as though it starts with the consonant "y."
When "a" precedes the word "hour," on the other hand, it should be "an" because in this case the "h" is not pronounced.
The rule in English is "when a word starts with a vowel *sound*, "a" should be "an." (Their are a few, but very few, ambiguous cases.)
