this package support a lot of printers widely spread in offices, and for not skilled users should be difficult install the package from shell. furthermore by default with the package are installed a lot of recommended packages (like the avahi daemon), that a '--no-install-recommends' can avoid, but again this option is probably ignored by a lot of not professional users.
