Severity: major Keywords: Modules error serv

Description

Recently rebuilt my machine using Zentyal 2.0-3 64bit... Then imported my saved configuration file. Everything appears to be running fine BUT I cannot save any further changes now. Whenever I make a change on the Zentyal Dashboard and click "Save Changes" in the upper right hand corner... It errors out on the first module, "Saving Firewall Module","1 of 5 operations performed" Then gives me the error screen below. Some modules reported error when saving changes . More information on the logs in /var/log/ebox/

id serv3363 does not exist.

I cannot make any changes to the server until this is cleared up unfortunately.

Any information would help, Thanks

What was the version you used to make the configuration backup? I'm afraid that if the backup was incorrectly done for some reason we can't do anything to fix the restore now.

The same happened to me. Most likely, the version used to make the backup will not be the same that the one running at restore time after rebuliding the machine.

Even though I used the same install media, the core versions were not the same (I installed all software updates) and the backup didn't restore successfully.

Hello Javier,

probably your failed restore has created (or turned existent ones into) phantom services in your firewall rules. To fix your server you should review the firewall rules and delete the ones which have an empty service.

If you could send us your backup it will be very useful to us for track and hunt this problem. You could send it to jamor@…

Cheers
