Description
We have a zentyal 2.2.4 on ubuntu 10.04.3 server inside a virtualmachine with bridged networking running in our office, among other things we use it to serve up several domain records, one of which is '.office'.
we have a webserver that runs at http://test.office, which has a hostname entry in the domain of .office.
However, I would very much like to be able to create aliases of test.office such as :
*.test.office *.someclient.test.office *.*.test.office *.*.*.*.*.<snip (insert 12 billion more)*.*.*.*.test.office
Point is... there should be no limitations on wildcards.... if we the admin create it then we want it.
However, currently zentyal only allows you to assign * to a hostname(A record, not an alias(CNAME). So when you go to dns > domain: office > hostname: test > add alias, then add * as the alias name or *.*.*.something, it is rejected.
sigh why does the spam filter stop this ticket?

Hello Airtonix,
we are moving to use idea torrent to manage feature requests.
Could you resubmit this idea at http://ideas.zentyal.org/ ?
Thanks,
Javier
