Hello Jon Postel,

we don't think the 'broken pipe' error is caused by a bug but more probably for a lack of resources, probably memory.

In the ticket #3762 we saw the error in the same place and was caused by a lack of memory.

So until we have more evidence, I will think that is not a bug but a lack of resources in the server.

Please, reopen if you have feedback that suggests otherwise.
