There wasn't a database connection, check if database exists

Reported by: dew.handyman@… Owned by: jamor@…
Milestone: 2.2.X Component: logs
Severity: normal Keywords:

Description (last modified by jamor@…) (diff)

The log databases or tables or both are not being created. Therefore, any install that uses the eboxlogs table fails, and thereby renders the whole zentyal useless. For instance, Monitoring install works fine both during the install process and to use it. However, Network Configuration install fails to generate the eboxlogs and thereby hangs the entire Zentyal install system.

Bug fix 2656.0 (Re-Create eboxlogs Database) obviously hits on this issue, but since ebox has been changed to Zentyal, all bets are off... and there is no more /usr/share/ebox/ebox-sql-table file to execute!!!

I am running ESXi 4.1 on a Dell PowerEdge? 840 with a Xeon 3060 dual core at 2.4GHZ with 2 CPUs and 1 gig of RAM. It runs very fast.

I would like to proceed past this.

Please Help.

I Downloaded the Zentyal 2.2.2 iso and installed and updated and dist-upgraded. Bug was there throughout.

I did notice that the Software Module Install section always errors 1 or more times(randomly) each time I install the Zentyal 2.2.2 from the iso provided. However, it will self correct somehow and go on thru the end.

Error

There wasn't a database connection, check if database exists\n
