Template error when adding a source / destination port for a new service in packet filtering

Description
I received a pink-box error saying there was a bug in the template when I tried to add a service not listed by default in packet filtering. I forward certain external ports to internal 4040 and was setting this up.
After the error, I tried to set the port up again and received a message that it already existed. No idea how to check whether it is actually set up, and no logs were actually generated. For now I am working around the issue with some changes at my router.
