Goal

We must able to reinstall eBox using the installation disck and the backup disc, so we get a identical configuration that the backed-up eBox.

Requirements

Use DVD-RW to store the data

The data will be stored in clear for now

We backup only the local system

Things to backup:

1. Full GConf /ebox tree
2. PostgreSQL dump
3. Files determined by individual modules (the previous point may be another case of this)

Fire backup process at user request. (we are using a regular DVD-writer after all)

The ebox install program can use the backed-up data to set the configuration
