Easier way to access to backup files

The backup module saves backup files with root-user having full permission, but root-group having no permission to the backup files. Thus this files can not be accessed except when logged in via root (which seem no longer possible in 2.0).

Would be nice, if root-group would additionally be given permission to the backup files. This would allow to access and further process the backup files without the need to switch to root user account.

It would also allow to place backups in the user home directory and make them downloadable from there via FTP if needed.
