Test Bleeding Edge Zentyal Features

Alpha Releases

Alpha releases take place before our beta releases which occur before our stable releases. Alpha means that this release ships with some of the features that will be included in our stable release. It will ship with a few new features which might be fully implemented or not. Please be advised that:

  • Alpha releases must not be used in production environments.
  • Alpha releases are meant to be used as a preview of the technology we are preparing.
  • Alpha releases are meant to be used to get feedback and testing of new features.
  • Configuration migration will probably not work.

Beta Releases

Beta releases take place before the stable releases. Beta means that this is still being tested and fixed but should usually have all of the new features mostly implemented. There is expected to be less fixes needed than in alpha releases but it is still expected to need lots of feedback and testing. Please be advised that:

  • Beta releases must not be used in production environments.
  • Beta releases are meant to be used to get even more feedback and testing of new features.
  • Configuration migration will probably not work.
